History

Experience in the field of FEM structural mechanics
and ANSYS application for over 40 years

2023

In October 2023, we received approval from the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection (BMWK) for the individual ZIM project “Development of a scalable service for the simulation of light guides with variant calculation and automated workflow”. This funding followed an earlier BMWK-funded feasibility study on light simulation by ITB GmbH, the positive results of which paved the way for further funding.

2023

Since August 2023, we have expanded our range of services to include flow analysis.

2022

In November 2022, our company received approval for innovation funding for the 8-month project “Preliminary investigations for the development of a software solution for easily scalable and automated light simulation” from the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection (BMWK).

2022

In October 2022, ITB GmbH was again certified as a subcontractor according to ASME and NQA-1 for GNS Gesellschaft für Nuklear-Service mbH for another three years.

2019

Since September 2019, our company has been certified as a subsupplier for GNS Gesellschaft für Nuklear-Service mbH under ASME Section III and ASME NQA-1 (Quality Assurance Requirements for Nuclear Facility Applications).

2019

In April 2019, ITB GmbH received a notification from the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research that it would receive funding for the implementation of the project “Innovation forum InnoSentriS – SME digital twins platform” within the framework of the “SME Innovation Forums”. The start of the 9-month subsidised project was 1 May 2019.

2014

We expanded our service portfolio in 2014 by adding the performance of sensitivity and robustness analyses, which we successfully implemented already in projects e.g. for SIEMENS AG and Lufthansa Technik AG.

2008

Our company is characterised by continuous growth. Since 2008, we have thus employed more than 10 calculation engineers. Our structured and well-established induction training programme safeguards our expectations for the quality of our services at all times.

2004

ITB GmbH was founded in April 2004 by 6 calculation engineers. The company founders had many years of prior experience in the field of FEM structural mechanics and the application of the Ansys software.

1999

Since 1999, we have been using the software LS-Dyna for calculating high-speed dynamic processes, and regularly use this e.g. for simulation of drop tests for nuclear containment vessels.

1986

Since the 4th CADFEM and Ansys User’s Meeting 1986 in Herrsching, Germany, we have regularly been participating in the annual specialist conference as an attendee and speaker; and ITB GmbH has now also been participating for a number of years as an exhibitor.

1984

We used the Ansys software for the first time in 1984, in the context of calculation engineering work in the automotive industry, back then in the program version Ansys 4.1. We now look back on over 35 years of experience as calculation engineers and users of the Ansys software.
