Steady-state analysis is used for tasks in fluid mechanics where the flow is uniform in time. For economic reasons, it is attempted to neglect non-significant fluctuations or, if possible, to calculate non-steady flow with quasi-static methods. The results can be further processed with a structural-mechanical calculation (fluid-structure interaction).
We perform steady-state flow simulation in the area of the following tasks:
- Calculation of the pressure drop of internal flows
- Calculation of aerodynamic or hydrodynamic loads of components in external flows
- Analysis of flow conditions with complex geometries
- Mixtures and multiphase flows
- Calculation of thermal flows
- Sensitivity analysis
- Geometry optimization
