Reinhard Houben, the economic policy spokesperson for the FDP parliamentary group, expressed his admiration for the services of the ITB Engineering Company for Technical Calculations GmbH in Dortmund during an informational visit. Houben stated, “Today at ITB, I learned that computer calculations in various production sectors can lead to significant efficiency improvements and new technological innovations.” During his visit, ITB Managing Director Dr. Frank Brehmer briefed the parliamentarian on various flagship projects of the company. These include the use of a Digital Twin for predictive maintenance of aircraft engines and participation in the construction of the world’s largest nuclear fusion reactor. ITB, in collaboration with partners, conducts various calculations in the areas of thermodynamics and structural mechanics for reactor construction. Additionally, the company from Dortmund has carried out the entire development work for the traverse of the high-speed train of the Velaro CRH3 series, a component that connects the carriage body to the chassis of the train.

The Engineering Company for Technical Calculations GmbH employs approximately 20 engineers and has been providing its services to more than 225 customers in Germany and across Europe for twenty years.
