With more than 30 years of experience in design for plastics, we bring comprehensive, field-proven expertise to the development of individual components and assemblies. Our designer has worked with the CAD system CATIA V5 for decades – one of the world’s leading CAD platforms in product development – and knows the specific requirements for plastic components in detail. Data exchange with other system platforms is handled seamlessly via neutral interfaces. Alongside plastic components, the integration of metallic elements such as retention springs, contact parts and design components is naturally part of our portfolio as well.

We support our clients throughout the entire product development process, from the first innovative idea through to a successful series product. With expertise, creativity and dedication, we cover the full breadth of development: from concept and design exploration, through prototyping, to series-ready, manufacture-oriented engineering across a wide range of industries. This encompasses plastic-appropriate 3D designs as well as complex assemblies combining multiple materials. We also produce 2D manufacturing drawings and bills of materials, and carry out development- and process-accompanying measures such as FMEA, FEM analyses and EmPb assessments.

Our areas of focus span several industries. In the automotive sector, this includes control elements such as pushbuttons and switches, seat adjustment control units and gear surrounds. In the field of installation devices, we have developed electromechanical components such as switches and sockets, always with an eye on both functionality and design. In building automation, our scope ranges from network-enabled control elements and wireless solutions to door communication systems with indoor and outdoor stations, as well as supplementary devices such as key switches and RFID access control systems. We also have experience in the development of consumer products for everyday use.

Throughout the entire development process, we support idea generation and solution finding, conduct patent, standards and regulatory research, prepare well-founded concepts including risk assessments, and translate these into manufacture-oriented product and component designs in line with Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles. We manage prototype-appropriate sourcing using suitable manufacturing processes, produce all manufacture-relevant documentation and provide support during tooling. This includes the assessment of first-off-tool parts, the evaluation of test reports, and final product validation. For marketing and presentation purposes, we also produce high-quality renderings.

The result is a holistic, practice-oriented development and design service – structured, efficient and focused from concept to series production.
